Megaguirus

--

In the past years, Godzilla had destroyed the planet’s power sources. It was decided that to protect Japan from Godzilla’s advances, no more Nuclear Energy would be used within the highly populated areas.

However, the JSDF was still after the beast. They broke of into another branch specifically designed for chasing Godzilla like G-Force; this one was known as G-Grasper. (It didn’t last long though) They began experimenting with new weapons, faster attack planes, radiation seeking missiles. Then there was the most interesting new weapon of all; the Dimension Tide. Dimension Tide was a new gun that could shoot anti-matter to create a miniature Black Hole. When fired, the Black Hole would swallow Godzilla and send him deep into another dimension, trapping him forever.

It was developed within the year that Godzilla battled Orga. The Dimension Tide Cannon was first tested on the ground; somewhere out in the mountains on an abandoned village. The cannon worked, but it created a wormhole. The hole dissipated soon afterwards. However, during the night, something came out of the wormhole. It was a breed of prehistoric Dragonfly. It left its egg in the forest before returning to the wormhole. Another prehistoric species was loose in the modern times.

The egg was found by a boy – whose name is not worth mentioning – and he took it back to his home. When he and his mother moved into the city for the summer to be close to his father, he began to worry about the egg. He tried to get rid of it by throwing it into the sewer. Days later the egg started to break apart, revealing itself to be a cluster of smaller eggs. Soon huge insects appeared in Tokyo. It was a familiar monster from the past; the Meganulons, the same breed of huge insect that was trapped in the underground chamber with Rodan and his mate.

They began eating people and metamorphosing into their second life stage; the Meganula Dragonfly. Suddenly, the sewers began to overflow with sea water and Tokyo was completely flooded the city. With a remote controlled mini-sub, the JSDF scientists saw thousands of other Meganulon Eggs. It was believed that somehow, the Meganulons allowed the city to become flooded to suit their living conditions. Before they could sent soldiers down to destroy them with bombs, the Meganulons hatched and were climbing up the sides of buildings. They were shedding their exoskeletons and morphing into the Dragonfly stage. The Meganulas took off from the city and headed for an island. The island was where Godzilla had been tracked to; the JSDF were planning to launch Dimension Tide from a satellite in orbit.

Earlier on when Godzilla was spotted from a satellite image, they saw a small object attacked to his body. It was a Meganula Dragonfly. They found the corpse out in the sea after it fell off the monster. It was severely burnt. They did tests on it and found that the Dragonfly had many Mosquito like qualities. It could suck blood from a host with its tail. It had Godzilla’s radioactive blood in its storage. It explained why the other went for Godzilla. He must’ve been a tasty food supply. They began heading for the tiny island in the Ogasawara Chain.

Fortunately the island was close enough to Monster Land for the swarm to be spotted. A huge flying creature left the island and went after them, with the intent to eat the smaller and weaker ones that fell behind in the convoy of bugs. When the insects arrived on the island, they distorted the locking system of Dimension Tide. It couldn’t lock onto Godzilla. They attached themselves to the flesh of the Monster King attempting to suck the blood from him. Godzilla eventually got fed up with the insects and used his Atomic Breath to attack them, the heat from his spikes burning the few attached to his back. However, it was clear that simply Godzilla was outgunned until a sonic boom knocked the tiny creatures out of the sky.

Rodan appeared, landing on the cliff above Godzilla. He took to the air again and helped himself to the vast buffet of his favorite food. The giant insects were quite the savory treat for his platelet as he had not eaten it in nearly forty years. However, some of them landed on Rodan and began sucking blood from him. He kept eating as many as he could but even then he couldn’t get them all. They kept feeding on Godzilla and Rodan, sucking not only blood but energy from them as well. Eventually, only a few hundred Meganula were left. Soon Dimension Tide fired. It landed right on top of Godzilla creating a blinding light. When it cleared, Godzilla and Rodan were gone.

However, there was suddenly a sonic boom and Godzilla and Rodan appeared rising up from under the ground. They believed that Dimension Tide missed. Two monsters were in heated battle. Even though they fought alongside each other in 1999, it was apparent that Rodan was still somewhat angry with Godzilla due to their encounter in 1993. The Meganulas began retreating while the two behemoths fought. As last time, Godzilla had Rodan outmatched, nearly ten times more powerful then he was in ‘93. He grabbed the giant Pteranodon and threw him into the ocean. However, he didn’t fire his Atomic Ray. It seems Godzilla didn’t want to hurt Rodan after all. He then began to follow the Dragonflies.

The Meganula made it back to Japan and dove into the water where there nest was. There was a huge Meganulon down there. It must’ve been two hundred feet long and a hundred feet wide. They began injecting the energy and the blood they collected from Godzilla and Rodan, resulting in their own deaths. Eventually, the Meganulon metamorphosed into its Meganula form. The human beings were confused. Most of their electronic equipment had been knocked out. The only conclusion was that something in the water was shorting out their equipment.

At that moment, the huge Meganula shot out of the water. It looked less like an insect and more like a dragon. Its skin was purple and it had yellow spikes along its body. It had two huge red eyes. It had long sharp teeth like Godzilla and a normal pair of jaws instead of pincers like the smaller ones had. It had a long tail with a stinger at the end of it and a pair of scorpion claws. All in all, the creature looked like a warped version of Mothra. The humans speculated that it mutated because of its absorption of Godzilla and Rodan’s blood, which is why it could also fly at sonic speeds. It was the queen of the Meganula Hive known as Megaguirus.

The next day, Megaguirus flew around the amusement park area of Tokyo near the huge Ferris wheel. When Godzilla came to Tokyo Bay, the G-Graspers tried to fight him to get Dimension Tide ready. However, Megaguirus attacked Godzilla, still seeing him as a potential energy source. Godzilla could barely attack her. She flew circles around him with her sonic speed and veritably threw him about. His Atomic Breath was never lucky enough to hit her. Godzilla resulted in strange moves like jumping into the air and body slamming her.

But Megaguirus was still to fast for him and when her scorpion stinger struck into his body and began sucking his energy, it looked like it would soon be over. Suddenly there was another sonic boom in the area. Rodan appeared and knocked Megaguirus out of the sky allowing Godzilla to step on her. Stinging his foot allowed her to get back in the air where she saw Rodan hovering in place. It was an epic confrontation; two mortal enemies, the Queen of Rodan’s longtime prey now strong and fast enough to fight back against the Meganulon’s predator.

They took off at Sonic Speeds slashing and striking as they passed each other. They began chasing each other, with the pursuer varying. Megaguirus grabbed Rodan’s feet with her claws and pulled him back. She then gripped the tops of his wings with her claws and rammed her tail into his back. Rodan went down and crashed. But before Megaguirus could finish him off, Godzilla intervened. She rushed toward Godzilla, but the dinosaur ducked. She swept past him, cutting off her claw on his spike. Rodan then took to the air and rammed his ancient enemy. She grabbed him with her remaining claw and began choking his neck. She flew over to the water and flew along the surface, holding him under the water. He stopped struggling before she let go.

She rose into the air and revealed another technique of hers. By absorbing Godzilla’s energy, she was able to unleash a fireball of Atomic Energy from her tail. It struck Godzilla and was strong enough to knock him to the ground. Godzilla had gotten powerful, but he never imagined how strong he was until he was hit with one of his own blasts. She flew towards him attempting to strike his head and drain the blood from his brain. However, Godzilla caught her stinger in his mouth and ripped it away. When Megaguirus tried to retreat, Godzilla blasted her with his Atomic Ray, finally killing her. Rodan returned from the water, alive. While Godzilla moved on, Rodan stayed behind to feast on the corpse of its ancient enemy.

Godzilla went deeper into Tokyo. They didn’t know why he was still there after Megaguirus was defeated. They didn’t have any nuclear power sources, so what was he looking for. As it turns out, the head of G-Grasper had secretly built a nuclear reactor to power the city. Godzilla was heading for it. Before he got there, Dimension Tide was activated. However, Megaguirus’ and Rodan’s high frequency due to their sonic flight had damaged the controls for Dimension Tide. The satellite could no longer maintain orbit. It was coming down! The ground Godzilla walked on caved in, partially burying Godzilla’s legs. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t escape. Rodan flew toward Godzilla and grabbed his shoulders with his legs. Rodan tried to fly Godzilla out. Both monsters saw the Black Hole coming down. Godzilla tried to shoo Rodan away, but the Pterodactyl would not abandon his old ally.

When the Black Hole pierced the clouds, Godzilla grabbed Rodan by the throat and punched him away. Rodan lay on the ground unable to comprehend what had happened. Godzilla looked up and roared as if challenging the Black Hole. He fired his Atomic Ray towards it trying to hold it off. The Hole Impacted anyway. Godzilla had knocked Rodan just outside the range of the attack, saving him. But when the light cleared, Godzilla was gone. He didn’t appear from under the ground this time. The satellite crashed into the crater that was left. It seems Godzilla had finally been beaten.

Megaguirus was a formidable fighter. With the ability to absorb ones powers and use them against them, and the flight speed she was capable of, she might’ve been one of the most dangerous monsters ever. It is unknown if she managed to lay any eggs before her fight with Godzilla as none of the Meganulas have popped up again. But we are still observant and cautious. So, Rodan finally got to settle an old blood feud with the Giant Dragonflies. And it looked like Godzilla was gone; trapped forever in another dimension.

Knowing that Godzilla had come back from a weapon that destroyed Oxygen, and a Nuclear Meltdown, I had no suspicions that Godzilla was gone for good. They thought they missed Godzilla and Rodan when they first fired the Black Hole. But instead, the Black Hole got them. It did send them to an alternate dimension, but Rodan’s High Frequency and Sonic Booms punched a hole in the dimensions allowing them to get back through. However, Rodan wasn’t with Godzilla this time, so I didn’t know how he was to escape. Plus, the idea about Godzilla being trapped in a Black Hole disturbed me. It made me think of something familiar…something bad. Rodan went back to Monster Land. The world seemed like it was finally without Godzilla. I didn’t give up hope though.

And I was right not to. G-Grasper disbanded after Godzilla was gone. But a year later, they met again and began checking some strange tremors. Sure enough, when the greatest earthquake of them all hit Tokyo, I was extremely relieved to hear Godzilla’s roar sounding out across the nation…but before we get to that story, I need to tell you about what happened in the year while he was away. Like I told you, Godzilla is never really gone, and thanks to some Supernatural force, he never really left.

Next time, the Angry Souls of WWII will remind Japan of what they have forgotten, and they’ve chosen the perfect demon to represent themselves. It’s an All Out Monster Assault, next time – showing a face no one ever thought they’d see again.

See you tomorrow. Have a nice night.

Nice to see my man rodan appear In this, makes a lot more logical sense to why megaurius is so fast to begin with when she appears
