"Raids Again"

--

Less than a year after the terrible destruction of Tokyo. The world was safe from the menace of Godzilla. The mistake of mankind's foolish use of atomic power had finally been paid in the blood of innocent Japanese. And now, Japan, and the entire world was safe...or were they? I mentioned that the events of Tokyo of 1954 were just the beginning. They did continue.

It all began when two plane pilots crash land near Iwato island. Upon exploring the island a little more, the two heard monstrous sounds and discover two giant monsters fighting to the death. One a large carnivorous Theropod and the other a four legged spike plated creature. Both creatures were roared and clawed each other. It seemed like neither one would stop. The battle escalated until both creatures tumbled over the cliff and into the sea.

Upon their rescue and return to Japan, the two told of the two creatures. If both of them brought their fight to Japan it would be just as disastrous as the incident in Tokyo...in more ways than one. For the description of one of the monsters was much more horrifying than the news of a rival monster.

The news that was sent back to America called the creature Gigantis. This was not to worry the American government to declare nuclear war on the creatures...But Tsukoika swears that his description of Gigantis was true. Godzilla was still alive!!!

There was always a chance that this was a second Godzilla of the same species, except for the fact that Godzilla's mutation was a once in a lifetime freak of nature. The idea that the same mutation would happen twice was unbelievable. Most believed that Godzilla was a demon strait out of Hell that fed on mortal souls. They believed that no mortal weapons could kill him as the oxygen destroyer proved. If this thing returned to Japan, then everything would be destroyed.

The other creature was some sort of Prehistoric herbivore, most likely an Ankylosaur. It was mutated to grow into large size and sharp teeth and horns to defend against predators...and unfortunately it was awakened along with a prehistoric rival, Godzilla. This Anguirus (Or Angilas as dubbed by the Japanese) would defend its territory against Godzilla with its new vicious demeanor. It was quite clear that both monsters would inevitably fight and make their way to Japan.

The two creatures did come ashore and the battle was underway. Some actually began betting on which monster would win the fight. They posted headlines that included.

"Not one but TWO! Godzilla returns with a hellish opponent. The most terrifying monsters ever loosed on man! Each raging UNKILLABLE Horror!!! Both on a rampage to stun the very concept of reality! Born to Destroy each other, but first they'll destroy the world!!!"

Most saw it as the apocalyptic war between the Behemoth and Leviathan.

"The fantastic fire monsters! Raging out of the fiery bowels of Hell!"

Betting on the monsters actually made surprising headway and the idea to increase betting on each creature was swarmed into the media.

"Mighty Gigantis (as Godzilla was called outside Japan) crushing whole cities in it's path and the Deadly Angorous, screaming its challenge of Mortal Combat! The battle of the ages! Scenes and sights and sensations beyond anything ever seen before!"

The government however had seen that no weapons worked on Godzilla...so there was only one option. The possibility that Godzilla and Anguirus would destroy each other in their battle. It was worth a chance. The Giant monsters were unstoppable against man, but maybe not against each other.

The battle itself was quite terrifying. Neither creature stopped as they nearly tore Osaka apart. Of course most put their money on Godzilla...those who were unfortunate enough to place their money on Anguirus were sadly disappointed. Godzilla nearly tore Anguirus' throat out. The creature did survive but merely played dead in order to escape the beating and retreated to the sea. It wasn't seen again for nearly 15 years later.

Godzilla had triumphed in his first (of what would become many) battle(s) and left Osaka in ruins. Two cities destroyed in Godzilla's bloodthirsty rampage. Where would it end? What would happen when Godzilla had completely destroyed all of Japan?! He would go on to destroy the world! And worst of all...there was no way to stop Godzilla this time...The Oxygen Destroyer that (Supposedly) killed the first Godzilla had been lost forever when Dr. Serizawa killed himself. Godzilla couldn't be stopped!!!

There might've been a chance. The air force led Godzilla south to an Arctic island covered in snow. There, Kobayashi, the other of the two who crashed and discovered Godzilla, crashed into the mountain and caused an avalanche. Godzilla was caught in the snow slide. This gave the Japanese the idea to bomb the mountains to bury Godzilla even further. Soon Godzilla was completely buried under the ice. His cold blooded body temperature would certainly kill the creature from the cold. Godzilla had finally been stopped and the Monster Menace was over...or was it?!

The Season of Daikaiju had only just begun. Godzilla might've been taken care of...but his and Anguirus' arrival gave way to a whole generation of Monsters that followed. These creatures included Varan the Unbelievable, the mighty Rodan and even the religious monster goddess deity, Mothra. There was even an invasion from space by a race called the Mysterians with their own Robotic Kaiju called, Moguera.

But these monsters were dealt with. Varan was driven out to sea. Rodan and his mate died in Molten Rock. The Mysterians were thwarted. But Mothra made peace with mankind and returned to live quietly...but the world became too quiet...And soon, an unforeseeable circumstance would arise that would lead to the Greatest, most Epic and most Legendary Confrontation in History...

The King of the Monsters vs. the King of the Jungle...

Godzilla Month Number 2. 27 more to go

Well before you start talking about the story, know this. Godzilla Raids again is so-far the only Godzilla movie that I have yet to see. So I don't really know the story. I had to come up with something that I thought would keep you interested. So...enjoy.
