Kaijerica Journal Entry 3

Day 3

Entry 1
Oh I am in big trouble now. As long as the beast is there just beyond the hills to the West, my village is in danger. I began to go on a journey to parts unknown to find a way to fight this creature...possibly even to kill him. So I headed north, climbing over the mountain range, hoping to find some hidden ruins from some by-gone age to try and find some information on the creature. All the while, I can hear the monster's roars from the forest beneath the mountains; it's maddening. But then, in sudden surprise as I get over the mountain rage, I heard the Beast roar one last time...and something else answered it...

The Monster Bird...

I couldn't see it at first; I could only hear its voice. But after approaching the downward slope of the mountain, I spotted it and was stunned at its size. I didn't anticipate this; I thought the Beast was an aberration...a fluke...a mistake of nature. I didn't think that there would be others like him. What other monsters could exist in this world?

Much like the Beast, I can tell this creature has a rather destructive effect on the environment; it flies so quickly over the scenery that it cuts through the land like a knife...But still, I find myself overcome with insatiable curiosity. I move in closer to get a better look...

Upon closer inspection, I discover that this creature isn't a bird at all...
If anything, it's some sort of enormous Pterosaur; but not at all like the Pteranodons I intend to create...It has a dual horn crest from its head, a relatively small beak, and oddly enough, a tail...I can't exactly say for sure, because the Creature is always hovering and in motion, but based on its leg and wing-structure, I deduce that the animal itself can stand-upright when it lands.
How could this creature exist? Not only is there nothing like it in the fossil record, but how would it even exist in this world, whereas all the other Archosaurs in this world are extinct...What is this animal, and what are these two creatures?

So far it doesn't seem to show any interest in leaving its roost and seems to just confine itself to this area on the other side of the mountain. I am able to approach it; this creature doesn't have the same poisoning effect that the Beast has. But then again, what is it, and how did it grow so large?
It's turned towards me; so now I feel it best to back off while I still have the chance. I'm making my way back home now...

This is terrible...I've got one enormous and poisonous beast to the West, and a gigantic terror-dactyl to the North. My home is literally surrounded by monsters, and I feel myself being boxed in. What can I possibly do to deal with these creatures? How could I survive in this World of Monsters? For now...it seems hopeless...

Entry 2
I just had an epiphany...
The Beast and the Bird are close by...The Bird is just a short walk North-East to where I found the Beast... They're close enough to each other that moving from one and toward the other, the respective roars can be heard...Perhaps its possible that if the Beast were to move Northward, or the Bird southward, the two might eventually hear one another, and move toward each other. Based on how hostile the two seem to be, perhaps its possible that if the two creatures meet, they will attempt to destroy one another...

That right now seems to be my best chance...One creature will certainly die in the confrontation; and regardless what creature it is, I will be able to reap the benefits, and the second animal will be weakened enough to where I might be able to defeat them...

For now...this seems to be my only chance...
